Student organizations are a great way to connect during your time at Ohio State. They often foster academic discourse, personal growth, leadership development, intercultural understanding, community service, and lasting friendships.

Citation Needed, Food Science Club, and KNOW Food Waste are three organizations that specifically appeal to both undergraduate and graduate students from our department. They are open to anyone interested in joining and include visiting guest speakers, contests against competing universities, industry-oriented programs, and/or social and recreational activities.

Citation Needed: Citation Needed was founded by students studying Food Science and Technology. Today, we are a group of students from multiple majors throughout the university. Our goal is to provide our members with opportunities to communicate and share their science.

Food Science Club: We are the Food Science Club and IFTSA Chapter at The Ohio State University. We strive to connect students to fellow students and the food industry.

KNOW Food Waste: KNOW Food Waste (or KFW) is a group of students at Ohio State working towards reducing, repurposing, and educating about food waste on campus. It was founded by three food science students to compel all individuals to think about this topic and to take action.
