College Bowl
What is it? The IFTSA College Bowl Competition tests the knowledge of student teams from across the United States in the areas of food science and technology, history of foods and food processing, food law, and general IFT/food-related trivia.
How can you help the OSU FST Team?
- Attend practices
- Help write questions
- Cheer on the team as they prepare for the regional competition (September-April)
- Compete against the team in a practice match to prepare for the competition (April-June).

Product Development Teams
What is it? Teams comprised of students who design and create products for product development competitions.
How Can You Help?
- Advise one of our student teams as they prepare for national competition (September-April).
- Spend an afternoon critiquing presentations as the finalist team(s) prepare for competition (April-June).

Industry Information Session
Present an informational seminar for our students to learn about real-world industry situations, company goals and products, business functions, and if available, opportunities for internships and jobs.
Generally at 5pm September-April.

Job Shadowing or Internships
Allow a freshman/sophomore to shadow you at work for a few weeks at winter break or over the summer to get a feel for how a food company works.
Provide internship or job opportunities to students.
