Dr. Brian Waters Earns NACTA Educator Award

Congratulations to Dr. Brian Waters on receiving a 2020 NACTA Educator Award. He will be recognized during the 2020 NACTA virtual conference.

Dr. Waters has been a lecturer in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Ohio State since 2013. He teaches both online and face to face. Classes taught include Chocolate Science, Wine and Beer in the Western Culture, Kitchen Science, Food Safety and Public Health, and Brewing Science. He created the online version of Chocolate Science and is currently developing a new class called “Outdoor Cooking.”

One of the central purposes of NACTA (North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture) is to recognize those individuals whose efforts represent the very best in agricultural higher education. The NACTA Educator Award is a criterion-based award and is reviewed by a committee of NACTA members. Recipients receive a plaque.

NACTA is professional society that focuses on the scholarship of teaching and learning agriculture and related disciplines at the postsecondary level. Members of NACTA are from two-year and four-year colleges, public and private.
