Sarah Patterson was educated at The Ohio State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition, Dietetics Option from the College of Education and Human Ecology. She continued her education at the University of Georgia, and received a Master of Science in Foods and Nutrition, researching the effects of anthocyanin extracts on colon cancer cells in vitro. She also completed her dietetic internship while at Georgia, and recently returned to OSU in the fall of 2008 to be Program Manager of CAFFRE.
