Neal H. Hooker, Ph.D

Neal Hooker earned a BA in Economics from the Universtiy of Essex, a MA in Economics from the University of British Columbia, and his doctoral degree in Resource Economics from the University of Massachusetts. Prior to joining the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University in 2000, he held faculty and postdoctoral positions at Colorado State, Texas A&M and Massachusetts. Dr. Hooker's research, teaching, and outreach efforts focus on Agribusiness management and marketing, food safety and nutrition policy. Ongoing research relates to agricultural, environmental, and food risk analysis; trends in food marketing; consumer studies of food quality issues; the impact of food recalls; and E-Agribusiness strategies. Dr. Hooker is author of numerous journal articles and book chapters on these topics.
