Erich Grotewold, Ph.D

Erich Grotewold studied chemistry in Argentina, at the University of Buenos Aires for his Bachelor’s degree and at both the Instituto de Ingeniería Genética y Biología Molecular and the University of Buenos Aires for his doctoral degree. He worked at the Cold Spring Harbor Lab in New York before coming to The Ohio State University’s Department of Plant and Cellular Molecular Biology and the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science in 2001. His research focuses on the control of gene expression and architecture of regulatory networks, using transcription factors as tools for plant metabolic engineering, sub-cellular trafficking of phytochemicals and other small molecules.
