Valerie DeGroff graduated in 1976 from the Cornell University College of Agriculture, majoring in animal science. She has worked on a wide variety of cancer related research projects at the Comprehensive Cancer Center of Ohio State since 1982. Currently she serves as a research associate and manager of the Laboratory of Nutrition and Chemoprevention (Dr. Steven K. Clinton, Principal Investigator). She plays a key role in management of clinical trials of dietary components and health. Her efforts include protocol management, IRB submissions, and regulatory compliance. In addition, she is responsible for biological sample collection, processing, storage, and distribution for analytical evaluation.
