Department of Pathology

The Department of Pathology is unique in the College of Medicine in that it includes both a basic science department and a clinical department. The basic science department has a full graduate program leading to both a Masters and a Ph.D. The clinical department has a complete residency training program and an active clinical practice in the areas of laboratory medicine and anatomic pathology. Research in the Department of Pathology is diverse, but there is a general center of excellence strategy focusing on transplantation, cancer, and neuro-science.
