Our laboratory projects emphasis -  integrating engineering principles with microbiology and/or chemistry concepts.     Graduate students interested in pursuing PhD program are encouraged to contact Dr. Bala. Discuss your specific research interests, goals and relevant skills. Lab supports limited number of graduate research associate positions (funded through external projects) every year. Selection process is competitive. Qualified domestic applicants can be nominated for departmental and/or university fellowships.
